Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues across healthcare, education, and economic development
- Develop legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks aligned with state priorities
- Prepare comprehensive briefings and recommendations for senior policymakers
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders and legislative committees
- Monitor implementation of policies and evaluate outcomes
- Present findings to diverse audiences including the Governor's Office
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with New York State legislative processes
- Valid New York State driver's license
