Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and develop evidence-based health policy recommendations for legislative initiatives
- Collaborate with state agencies, stakeholders, and community leaders to implement public health programs
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs, reports, and presentations for executive leadership
- Monitor federal/state legislation and regulatory changes affecting public health services
- Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Advise senior officials on emerging health trends and policy implications
- Manage grant-funded projects related to health policy implementation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or healthcare sector
- Expertise in Texas state government processes and legislative procedures
- Advanced quantitative and qualitative research skills with data interpretation expertise
- Exceptional written/verbal communication with ability to present complex information clearly
- Proficiency in policy analysis software (e.g., SAS, Stata) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide as needed
