Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate transportation policy proposals aligned with state strategic goals
- Analyze complex data sets to inform infrastructure investment decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policy initiatives
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes affecting transportation programs
- Lead community engagement sessions for public input on policy changes
- Manage grant compliance and reporting processes for federal funding
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, R, or Python)
- Expert knowledge of Texas transportation regulations and funding mechanisms
- Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience with GIS mapping software for spatial analysis
- Strong project management skills with ability to meet deadlines
