Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state policies and draft comprehensive legislative recommendations
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced statistical methods
- Collaborate with agency heads to develop cross-departmental policy frameworks
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess state compliance strategies
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee policy implementation projects
- Develop data visualization dashboards for policy impact tracking
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Stata, or Python)
- Demonstrated success in presenting to legislative bodies
- Deep knowledge of Texas state government operations
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Clearance for confidential information handling
- Project management certification (PMP) preferred
