Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging economic trends to inform state policy development
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for cabinet-level review
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement sessions with businesses, nonprofits, and community groups
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives addressing housing affordability and workforce development
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess impacts on Washington's economy
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in economic data analysis tools (Stata, R, Python)
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Experience with Washington State legislative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Washington State driver's license
