Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze environmental policies aligned with state regulations and local needs
- Conduct comprehensive research on climate resilience, water conservation, and air quality
- Collaborate with stakeholders including local governments, NGOs, and industry partners
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and legislative recommendations
- Oversee implementation of environmental programs in San Diego County
- Monitor regulatory compliance and emerging environmental trends
- Lead cross-functional teams on special environmental initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or environmental sector
- Expertise in California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and federal regulations
- Advanced data analysis and policy modeling skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and public speaking abilities
- Experience with environmental impact assessments
- Valid California driver's license
- Knowledge of San Diego County environmental challenges
