Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze environmental policy proposals aligned with Oregon's climate action goals
- Conduct comprehensive research on air/water quality regulations and emerging environmental technologies
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and legislative testimony for state decision-makers
- Coordinate with federal agencies, tribal governments, and local municipalities
- Monitor implementation of environmental laws and recommend regulatory improvements
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with industry representatives and community groups
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in environmental policy development or regulatory analysis
- Expertise in Oregon environmental regulations and compliance frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (R, Python, or SAS)
- Proven ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder projects
- Valid Oregon driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with policy experience
