Responsibilities
- Oversee development and execution of public service programs impacting 500K+ residents
- Analyze community feedback and performance metrics to optimize service delivery
- Manage $2M+ annual budgets for community improvement initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams including parks, sanitation, and transportation departments
- Implement digital transformation strategies for citizen engagement platforms
- Conduct quarterly compliance audits for state/federal regulatory requirements
- Present strategic recommendations to City Council and advisory boards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years experience in municipal government or public sector management
- Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Proven crisis management and emergency response coordination
- Experience with Virginia Municipal League (VML) standards
- Strong understanding of Virginia Beach's 2030 Comprehensive Plan
