Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks to inform state policy decisions
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using statistical models and stakeholder interviews
- Develop actionable policy recommendations aligned with Oregon's strategic goals
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Coordinate cross-agency implementation of new policies
- Maintain compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules and state ethics guidelines
- Mentor junior analysts on policy development methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Expert knowledge of Oregon's legislative process and administrative structure
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Security Clearance
