Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and develop data-driven recommendations for legislative initiatives
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to align strategic goals with District priorities
- Conduct research and prepare comprehensive policy briefs for executive leadership
- Monitor implementation of new policies and evaluate their effectiveness through quantitative analysis
- Represent the District in intergovernmental forums and community engagement sessions
- Lead cross-functional projects addressing housing, economic development, or public health
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, R, or Stata)
- Exceptional written communication skills with demonstrated report/policy brief drafting
- Knowledge of District of Columbia government structure and regulations
- Experience with stakeholder management and public outreach initiatives
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel to District sites
