Responsibilities
- Research and analyze transportation policy trends, legislation, and best practices
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations aligned with PennDOT's strategic goals
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with community groups, advocacy organizations, and government partners
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and legislative briefings for senior leadership
- Monitor implementation of transportation policies and evaluate impact through data analysis
- Coordinate with interagency teams to ensure policy alignment across state departments
- Advise on emerging issues like autonomous vehicles, sustainable infrastructure, and equitable transit access
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Transportation, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Deep knowledge of Pennsylvania's transportation systems and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
