Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy proposals through quantitative/qualitative research and stakeholder engagement
- Analyze legislative impacts and regulatory frameworks for city-wide initiatives
- Lead interdepartmental task forces to implement equity-focused programs
- Present findings to executive leadership and public forums
- Oversee policy implementation monitoring and evaluation systems
- Manage $500K+ budgets for policy development projects
- Mentor junior analysts on policy analysis methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R, or Python) and qualitative research
- Proven track record of successful policy implementation in urban settings
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with public presentation experience
- Knowledge of DC's legislative process and local government structure
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
