Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues affecting Columbus communities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for city council review
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for municipal stakeholders
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives on urban development projects
- Monitor federal/state legislation impacts on local government operations
- Engage with residents and community organizations through public forums
- Manage policy implementation timelines and compliance tracking
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government/public sector policy experience
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Strong understanding of Ohio municipal governance structures
- Exceptional written communication and analytical reasoning skills
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Valid Ohio driver's license required
