Responsibilities
- Coordinate community engagement events across Houston's 387 parks
- Develop and distribute informational materials about park programs
- Collect resident feedback through surveys and public forums
- Maintain accurate records of community interactions and program participation
- Collaborate with city departments to align outreach initiatives
- Support grant applications by documenting community needs
- Assist with social media content promoting park accessibility
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Public Administration, Communications, or related field
- 1+ years experience in community outreach or public relations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Basic knowledge of Houston's geographical layout
