Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based health policy recommendations for state initiatives
- Analyze legislative impacts and draft policy briefs for executive leadership
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to implement public health programs
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using SAS, R, or SPSS
- Present findings to policymakers and stakeholders
- Manage grant-funded projects with $1M+ budgets
- Mentor junior analysts on policy frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SAS/R/SPSS)
- Texas residency required (or willingness to relocate)
- Proven track record of influencing state-level policies
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
