Responsibilities
- Analyze complex environmental and public health data to inform policy recommendations
- Develop and draft legislative proposals, regulations, and administrative rules
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement with government agencies, community groups, and industry partners
- Conduct policy impact assessments and economic feasibility studies
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for executive leadership and legislative bodies
- Monitor federal and state legislative developments affecting environmental health priorities
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee cross-functional project teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Environmental Science, Public Health, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency with statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and GIS tools
- Demonstrated success in translating technical data into actionable policy recommendations
- Experience with Colorado state legislative processes and regulatory frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to diverse audiences
