Responsibilities
- Analyze transportation legislation, regulations, and industry trends to inform strategic policy recommendations
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing evidence-based policy frameworks for infrastructure projects
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for executive leadership and legislative committees
- Monitor federal/state funding opportunities and grant applications to maximize resource allocation
- Collaborate with municipal partners and community stakeholders to implement equitable transit solutions
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using GIS modeling and statistical analysis tools
- Evaluate program effectiveness through KPI tracking and stakeholder feedback mechanisms
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software (R, Python)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation and regulatory impact statements
- Strong knowledge of Massachusetts transportation systems and state procurement processes
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with experience testifying before legislative bodies
- Professional certification in Public Policy (CPPP) or equivalent preferred
