Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft comprehensive legislative proposals
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced statistical methods
- Stakeholder engagement with federal agencies, community leaders, and private sector partners
- Develop data-driven recommendations for the Mayor and Councilmembers
- Oversee implementation of policy initiatives through interagency coordination
- Present findings to high-level officials through clear executive reports
- Monitor legislation trends and emerging best practices nationally
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Stata, SPSS)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislative language and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Deep knowledge of District of Columbia government operations
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines
- Clearances required: Public Trust Level 5
