Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues across healthcare, education, and economic development sectors
- Develop comprehensive legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with government agencies, NGOs, and community groups
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and executive summaries for senior leadership
- Monitor implementation of enacted policies and evaluate effectiveness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on interdepartmental initiatives
- Present findings to legislative committees and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Virginia state legislative processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
