Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft actionable recommendations for City Council
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives on sustainability, equity, and urban development
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced data analysis tools
- Present findings to senior leadership and public stakeholders
- Develop long-term strategic plans aligned with Austin's Vision Zero and Climate Action initiatives
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee project deliverables
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government/public sector policy experience
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization (Tableau, Power BI)
- Expertise in policy impact assessment and cost-benefit analysis
- Strong written/verbal communication with public presentation experience
- Texas driver's license and ability to work flexible hours
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
