Responsibilities
- Analyze state fiscal policies and recommend evidence-based reforms
- Prepare comprehensive budget impact assessments for legislative proposals
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces on economic development projects
- Monitor federal grant opportunities and ensure compliance reporting
- Present policy recommendations to the State Finance Committee
- Lead cross-functional teams implementing new administrative systems
- Conduct stakeholder outreach with local government partners
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in SAS, R, or Python for data modeling
- Deep knowledge of Tennessee state budget processes
- Valid Tennessee government security clearance
- Experience with federal grant administration (CFDA programs)
- Proven track record in stakeholder management
- Professional certification (e.g., CPPB or CPFO) preferred
