Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data-driven policy frameworks for urban revitalization projects
- Conduct comprehensive impact assessments for municipal legislation and programs
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on housing, transportation, and economic equity
- Present policy recommendations to City Council and mayoral leadership
- Manage $2M+ annual grant programs for community development initiatives
- Collaborate with federal partners on infrastructure funding opportunities
- Oversee stakeholder engagement with community boards and advocacy groups
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government policy development
- Expertise in quantitative analysis using SPSS/R/Python
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state grants
- Knowledge of Michigan municipal governance structures
- Experience with community participatory budgeting processes
- Valid Michigan driver's license
- Certified Public Manager (CPM) designation preferred
