Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and evaluate their socioeconomic impact on Columbus communities
- Conduct comprehensive research on urban development trends and best practices
- Develop policy recommendations aligned with the city's strategic goals
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to implement evidence-based solutions
- Present findings to city council and community stakeholders through compelling reports
- Monitor policy implementation effectiveness and recommend adjustments
- Manage grant-funded projects related to public health and urban planning
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government policy analysis or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Deep understanding of Ohio municipal governance structures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Certification in Public Administration (CPM) preferred
