Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and recommend solutions for complex urban policy challenges
- Develop legislative proposals and implementation strategies for City Council approval
- Coordinate interdepartmental stakeholder engagement and public consultation processes
- Monitor regulatory compliance and legislative changes affecting municipal operations
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and policy briefings for leadership
- Manage $2M+ annual grant programs supporting community initiatives
- Lead cross-functional teams on special projects like climate action plans
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in municipal/government setting
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, ArcGIS)
- Demonstrated success in policy development and implementation
- Strong understanding of Oregon public finance systems
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- Experience with community engagement protocols
