Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and draft comprehensive policy recommendations for state agencies
- Conduct research on emerging public issues and evaluate program effectiveness using quantitative methods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop implementation strategies for new policies
- Present findings to senior leadership through clear, data-driven reports and presentations
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess potential impacts on Georgia's operations
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community partners and industry representatives
- Maintain compliance with Georgia Sunshine Laws and public record requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of Georgia state government operations and legislative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred
- Experience with public budgeting processes and grant administration
- Valid Georgia driver's license
