Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state policies and legislative proposals to recommend evidence-based solutions
- Collaborate with agency directors to develop strategic policy frameworks
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using government databases and stakeholder interviews
- Prepare comprehensive reports and briefings for legislative committees
- Monitor federal regulations for implications on North Carolina operations
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on emerging policy challenges
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and policy modeling tools
- Deep knowledge of North Carolina legislative processes and state agencies
- Strong written communication skills demonstrated through published policy briefs
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
