Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for county board consideration
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data using advanced statistical methods
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups and agencies
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and implementation roadmaps
- Monitor legislative changes and assess county compliance requirements
- Manage interdepartmental task forces for cross-cutting initiatives
- Present findings to elected officials and senior leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in SPSS/R and data visualization tools
- Deep knowledge of California state/local government operations
- Exceptional written communication with policy writing samples
- Valid California driver's license (travel required)
- Experience with participatory budgeting processes
