Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive policy research and economic impact analysis for Seattle metropolitan initiatives
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations addressing housing affordability, tech workforce development, and climate resilience
- Collaborate with state legislators, city officials, and community stakeholders to build consensus on policy priorities
- Prepare detailed briefing papers, legislative testimony, and public reports for executive leadership
- Monitor implementation outcomes of existing policies and recommend data-driven improvements
- Lead cross-functional teams on special projects related to equitable economic growth strategies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field (Bachelor's with exceptional experience considered)
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector environment
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative analysis tools (R, Python, SPSS) and economic modeling software
- Demonstrated success in developing and advocating for policies with measurable community impact
- Expert knowledge of Washington State legislative processes and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written communication skills with portfolio of published policy documents
- Experience managing stakeholder engagement initiatives across diverse community groups
