Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy frameworks for urban development, equity, and sustainability initiatives
- Analyze legislative impacts and draft actionable recommendations for the Mayor's Office
- Lead cross-functional task forces with federal partners and community stakeholders
- Present policy briefings to the Council of the District of Columbia and executive leadership
- Oversee implementation of $50M+ public health and infrastructure programs
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced analytics tools
- Mentor junior analysts and optimize departmental workflows
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in DC-specific regulations and federal-state collaboration frameworks
- Proficiency in policy modeling software (e.g., Stata, R, SAS) and data visualization
- Demonstrated success in securing legislative approval for major initiatives
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Exceptional written/verbal communication with C-suite experience
