Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy proposals and legislative impacts for city council recommendations
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using demographic, economic, and social data
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation roadmaps
- Coordinate with 15+ municipal departments to align policy objectives
- Present findings to stakeholders including elected officials and community groups
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes affecting local governance
- Lead cross-functional task forces on emerging civic challenges
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in policy implementation and evaluation
- Deep understanding of Kentucky municipal governance structures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Kentucky driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for federal clearance
