Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate policy proposals related to border security, counterterrorism, and emergency response
- Analyze legislative impacts and prepare comprehensive briefing materials for senior leadership
- Coordinate with interagency partners to align policy objectives across departments
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research using advanced analytical methodologies
- Present findings to congressional committees and stakeholder groups
- Oversee implementation of policy initiatives and measure effectiveness through KPIs
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, International Relations, or related field
- 5+ years of federal government policy experience
- Expertise in homeland security frameworks and regulatory processes
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Proven track record of briefing senior officials and congressional staff
- Strong writing skills with published policy documents or reports
