Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues related to urban governance and community development
- Develop data-driven recommendations for state and local government initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to implement policy solutions across Boston and NYC regions
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for executive leadership
- Manage stakeholder engagement with community organizations and advocacy groups
- Monitor legislative developments and regulatory changes affecting metropolitan areas
- Lead intergovernmental projects between Boston and New York City agencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government or nonprofit policy analysis
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Strong knowledge of federal/state/local government structures in MA/NY
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Experience with grant writing and federal funding processes
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between Boston and NYC
