Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban policy issues and develop evidence-based recommendations for City Council and Mayoral office
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives addressing housing affordability, climate resilience, and economic equity
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for federal/state compliance requirements
- Manage stakeholder engagement processes including public hearings, community forums, and intergovernmental meetings
- Oversee performance metrics tracking for city-funded programs using data visualization tools
- Coordinate with state/federal agencies to secure grants and align with regulatory frameworks
- Mentor junior analysts and develop standardized policy evaluation methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies with proficiency in SPSS/R
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing equity-focused policies
- Advanced knowledge of Massachusetts state regulations and federal grant compliance
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with portfolio of published policy reports
- Professional certification (e.g., PPAP, CPPO) preferred
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license with clean driving record
