Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft evidence-based recommendations for state agencies
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced statistical methods
- Present findings to legislative bodies and executive leadership
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess state-level impacts
- Develop policy briefs and implementation roadmaps
- Mentor junior analysts and manage project timelines
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Stata, Python)
- Proven track record of legislative/policy impact
- Expertise in cost-benefit analysis and program evaluation
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Valid NYS driver's license
