Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft comprehensive recommendations for state agencies
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using advanced statistical methods and data visualization tools
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop actionable implementation strategies
- Monitor legislative developments and assess potential impacts on state programs
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and executive summaries for senior decision-makers
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing emerging policy challenges
- Present findings to legislative committees and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R, or SAS) and policy modeling
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Deep knowledge of New York State government operations and legislative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing multiple high-priority projects with competing deadlines
- Valid New York State driver's license
