Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex municipal policies across housing, economic development, and public safety
- Develop data-driven recommendations for City Council and Mayor's office
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative proposals
- Coordinate with 15+ city departments to align strategic initiatives
- Manage public engagement processes including community forums
- Oversee $2M+ grant programs with federal/state agencies
- Maintain compliance with municipal charter and state statutes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years government or nonprofit policy experience
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Expert knowledge of Wisconsin state administrative codes
- Proven experience with budget analysis and grant management
- Strong stakeholder management skills across diverse communities
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
