Responsibilities
- Analyze fiscal policies and budget proposals for operational and equity implications
- Lead cross-departmental working groups on capital planning initiatives
- Develop quantitative models forecasting revenue/expenditure trends
- Prepare comprehensive reports for City Council and mayoral oversight
- Advise on federal/state grant compliance and optimization
- Mentor junior analysts on performance metrics and reporting standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of government financial analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Tableau/Power BI
- Deep knowledge of NYC's municipal budget process
- Proven ability to translate complex data for executive audiences
- NYC residency required within 90 days of hire
- Valid NYS driver's license (if applicable to duties)
