Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulations to develop actionable policy recommendations
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research on socioeconomic trends and program effectiveness
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to align strategic initiatives with Commonwealth priorities
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and testimony for legislative committees
- Manage cross-functional projects addressing healthcare, education, or infrastructure challenges
- Maintain compliance with Pennsylvania Sunshine Act and open records requirements
- Lead public engagement sessions to gather stakeholder input on proposed policies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS) and statistical modeling
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Expert knowledge of Pennsylvania state government operations and budget processes
- Professional certification (e.g., CPAP, CPP) preferred
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license required
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
