Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues affecting Jacksonville's urban growth
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations for City Council review
- Coordinate interdepartmental initiatives for cross-functional policy implementation
- Prepare detailed legislative impact assessments and fiscal analyses
- Engage with community stakeholders through public forums and hearings
- Manage grant applications and compliance for federal/state programs
- Present findings to elected officials and senior leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and GIS mapping tools
- Proven track record in legislative drafting and regulatory review
- Valid Florida driver's license
- US citizenship required for federal grant compliance
- Experience with Jacksonville municipal operations preferred
- Ability to obtain security clearance for sensitive data access
