Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues across healthcare, education, and environmental sectors
- Develop actionable policy recommendations through quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Collaborate with legislative staff, agency directors, and stakeholder groups
- Prepare comprehensive briefing materials for executive leadership
- Monitor implementation of enacted legislation and assess policy outcomes
- Represent the office in interagency working groups and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Expertise in quantitative research methods and data visualization
- Deep understanding of California's legislative and regulatory processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Valid California driver's license (required for travel)
