Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state policies and legislation to recommend evidence-based solutions
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to develop strategic implementation frameworks
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research and prepare comprehensive policy briefs
- Present findings to senior leadership and legislative stakeholders
- Monitor emerging trends and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and lead policy improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Deep understanding of Texas legislative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Professional certification (e.g., CPPA) preferred
