Responsibilities
- Analyze complex municipal policies and regulatory compliance requirements
- Develop evidence-based recommendations for city council agendas
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with government agencies and community organizations
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative impact statements
- Manage interdepartmental projects with $5M+ annual budgets
- Monitor federal/state legislation affecting Tampa's operations
- Lead cross-functional task forces for urban development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government/public sector experience
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative analysis and policy research
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Proven experience with municipal budget processes
- Expertise in stakeholder management and public communications
- Knowledge of Florida Sunshine Law and open records requirements
- Master's degree preferred for senior roles
