Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulations to develop actionable policy recommendations
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using statistical modeling and stakeholder interviews
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and executive summaries for senior leadership
- Coordinate inter-agency task forces to implement statewide initiatives
- Monitor federal policy developments and assess impact on Indiana's programs
- Present findings to legislative committees and public stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional projects addressing economic development and public health priorities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Stata, or SPSS)
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Strong knowledge of Indiana's legislative process and state agencies
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with public speaking experience
- Project management certification or equivalent experience
- Valid Indiana driver's license (for occasional statewide travel)
