Responsibilities
- Analyze complex legislative proposals and regulatory impacts for state agencies
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations aligned with state strategic goals
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using public datasets and stakeholder interviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policy initiatives
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Monitor federal policy changes affecting state programs
- Manage project timelines and deliverables using Agile methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislative testimony and policy briefs
- Knowledge of Indiana state government structure and processes
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
