Responsibilities
- Develop and implement statewide technology policy frameworks aligned with digital transformation goals
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, blockchain, cybersecurity) for regulatory impact assessment
- Collaborate with legislative bodies to craft tech-forward legislation and budget proposals
- Lead cross-agency task forces on critical infrastructure modernization projects
- Present policy recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholder forums
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct policy research using advanced analytical tools
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in government technology policy analysis or public sector tech leadership
- Deep understanding of California's legislative processes and regulatory landscape
- Expertise in risk assessment frameworks for emerging technologies
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and policy modeling
- Proven track record of successfully implementing statewide technology initiatives
- CA Public Administration certification (PPA) preferred
