Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate state health policies using quantitative/qualitative research methodologies
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies to implement coordinated public health strategies
- Analyze legislative impacts and prepare comprehensive policy briefings for stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional teams to address emerging public health challenges
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and recommend evidence-based adjustments
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing health policy recommendations
- Experience with Texas legislative processes and regulatory frameworks
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
