Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public health policies across Florida's 67 counties
- Manage multi-million dollar grant programs and federal compliance
- Lead cross-functional teams during public health emergencies
- Analyze epidemiological data to inform strategic decisions
- Collaborate with federal agencies like CDC and CMS
- Oversee health equity initiatives for underserved populations
- Represent the department in legislative hearings and stakeholder meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of public health or government experience
- Experience with budget management and grant writing
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Knowledge of HIPAA and ACA regulations
- Strong leadership and crisis management skills
- Ability to obtain security clearance
