Responsibilities
- Develop and implement county-wide public health strategies aligned with CDC guidelines
- Oversee emergency response operations for health crises and pandemics
- Manage a $15M+ public health budget with rigorous fiscal oversight
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations
- Lead data-driven initiatives to reduce health disparities in underserved areas
- Supervise cross-functional teams of epidemiologists and health educators
- Ensure compliance with federal/state healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of progressive public health leadership experience
- Texas Public Health Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proven crisis management experience with health emergencies
- Expertise in health policy analysis and grant writing
- Strong data analytics skills with proficiency in public health reporting tools
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) communication abilities required
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
