Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to identify disease trends and inform policy decisions
- Develop and implement community health improvement programs targeting underserved populations
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response initiatives for public health threats
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders and community partners
- Lead quality assurance processes for health surveillance systems
- Mentor junior analysts and supervise data collection projects
- Advocate for health equity through evidence-based advocacy and program development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health data analysis or program management
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and GIS mapping tools
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and budget management
- Strong knowledge of Texas public health regulations and compliance standards
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
