Responsibilities
- Analyze complex public health data to identify emerging health trends and disparities in urban communities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for state and local health initiatives
- Coordinate multi-agency partnerships to implement community health improvement projects
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for legislative stakeholders and public officials
- Oversee compliance with federal and state public health regulations and reporting requirements
- Mentor junior staff and lead cross-functional public health task forces
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (Bachelor's with 5+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 4 years of public health analysis or program management experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R) and health information systems
- Demonstrated experience with health policy development and community engagement strategies
- Valid North Carolina driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Strong understanding of CDC guidelines and Healthy People 2030 objectives
